The hard slap of reality

Since joining the blogging world I have really enjoyed venturing out to read what others blog about. Mostly I have stuck to reading about weight loss because that is my main focus right now. This morning I came across a blog about a girl who had the same weight loss struggles that so many of us have. Friday she lost her battle with a heart attack. She was only 33 years old. She leaves behind a husband and two children. She was working towards making a healthier lifestyle for herself. She was frustrated when the scale wouldn't move. She tried weight watchers and tons of other ways to lose weight her whole life. How many of us can relate to that? I know this is nothing new. People die of heart attacks all the time because of their weight. I just feel bad for her family because she really wanted to change it and just ran out of time. This is her blog address if you would like visit and leave a comment. http://bethanymcdonald.blogspot.com I hope that her family has some comfort in knowing that her death will inspire so many people to just stick with it and stay on that path to a healthy lifestyle.

  1. That is so sad. You are right people die all the time of heart attacks but the fact that she was trying so hard to take control of her life and really commit to making herself healthier makes it that much more sad. I think this truly will help us all in remembering how important our health and our lives really are. My heart goes out to her husband, kids, friends and family.
