So lately at night I haven't been able to sleep well due to my evening workouts. By the time I get home from work, make dinner, digest a little, it's about 8pm. Working out for an hour and then trying to go to bed an hour later doesn't give me enough time for my heart to slow back down after the work out. So the plan is to start getting up at 5am and giving myself enough time to workout and shower before work. This is going to be a major feat if I can accomplish this. I am so not a morning person. My husband would probably be willing to testify to that. I've always been that way. I have my crabby til caffeinated time and then I am fine. So this morning I tried it out because I was off today. I thought if I get too tired late in the day then I will just take a nap. It took awhile once I was up to actually make it on the treadmill. I set the coffee to brew so I could have that as incentive to get my workout done so I can have some coffee and breakfast. Hubby kissed my forehead and did his typical "I'm staying out of your way so you don't kill me in the morning" routine. I made it to the treadmill and had a great workout. After coffee and breakfast I fell asleep in the recliner. I didn't feel too guilty since after all I was off work today. Tomorrow will be another story. I figure it will take me a week or two to get into this routine but it will be worth it if I can pull it off.
