Low cal snacks make it all worth it. Knowing I can enjoy what I eat while losing weight is the glue that holds it all together for me. Here are some of my favorites:
Clementines~yum! They are so easy to peel and have no seeds. Love the sweetness and know that I am eating something healthy.
Yogurt~It's my "I need something to eat right now and I just want to grab it and eat it" food. Either something fruity or whipped, I love them all.
Fudge bars~Nothing else can stop my ice cream crave like these do. They come in fat free or low fat and are usually around 100 calories. Can't beat it. Ice cream and chocolate all in one treat works for me!
Extra Gum~ Not to sound like one of the commercials on Biggest Loser but this gum is awesome for controlling those sweet tooth cravings. So many flavors to choose from!
Applesauce and cinnamon graham cracker sticks~ I like to buy these in single serving sizes. Dip those sticks into a little container of applesauce and it's like eating apple pie without having to do the work.
Cereal~ When the pantry is running low on snacks I like to have cereal. Sometimes it's just enough to keep me from eating a bunch of junk. Cut up a banana into some cheerios and I am good to go.
Hummus~I tried hummus for the first time about two years ago. It is pretty tasty! I love cream cheese and crackers but obviously can't afford the fat and calories. Hummus and crackers is a good substitute for that.

ReplyDeleteHave you tried almond milk? Vanilla almond milk tastes amazing. I think plain almond milk is awesome on cereal too.
