Losing momentum is the worst

All week long I have been inactive due to hurting my back. I was moving some things at work and pulled it out of whack. Even though it was bothering me Monday I still worked out. Tuesday through Friday I was hobbling like a crippled woman. Today it finally started feeling better and I got through the day without a single ibuprofen. I could have worked out today but instead got a cold that made me laze around all day long. All I did was go grocery shopping. My daughter came with so I didn't lift anything. Even though I was feeling miserable I didn't get any junk food. It was all pretty healthy and good for the meal planning for next week. It's so hard getting myself psyched up enough to work out that when things keep me from doing so I get frustrated and feel like I will lose my focus and give it up all together. I won't though. I will be back in the swing on Monday.

  2. Mel,
Don't push it with the back thing you don't want to pull it out again. Start off slow going back into your workouts. You did great by continuing to eat healthy. Stay focused you'll do great.
    Love ya Jen

  3. hang in there Mel. You didn't put the weight on overnight and it won't go away any quicker. I am sorry you are not feeling well. Take care of yourself and go slow with the workouts. I know how you feel. I am still babying my knee. Stay positive. You are on the right track. Keep blogging and we will keep supporting.

  4. It's so hard when our bodies fight what we're trying to do - even when it's something good for them! Take care of your back - that's not something to fool around with. And don't get discouraged! I'm out here trying to do the same thing, and rooting for ya at the same time. Find all those great things you did for yourself during the week and write them down. When you have weaker moments, you can look back at what you have accomplished. You can do it!!
